The Ford Capri Mk I (1969–1974) was Ford of Europe’s answer to the Mustang — a stylish, affordable coupé marketed as “The car you always promised yourself.” It combined Cortina underpinnings with fastback flair, offering a wide range of engines from a modest 1.3L to a muscular 3.0L V6.

The Ford Capri 1300 GT Mk I (1969–1974) was the entry-level performance variant of Ford’s iconic European coupé — offering sporty looks and trim without the insurance or fuel costs of the larger-engined models.

Ford Capri 3.0 GXL Mk I

The Ford Capri 3.0 GXL Mk I (1972–1974) was the luxury flagship of the original Capri lineup — combining the muscular performance of the Essex V6 with upscale trim and distinctive styling. It was introduced as part of the Mk I facelift and remains one of the most collectible Capris today.
